BLUB 107   

Sóldís is a promising young mare. She is a happy and positive spirit, willing full and light stepping mare. 

Sóldís has clear gaits and nice movements. She is the typical nature tölter the Tölt is the best , very clear beated, light stepping and super soft with good speed range.  She has good trot also with good suspension. The canter is good and soft. She has some pace that we have not used yet but she is open to it. We think you can ride her as a 4 gaiter or as a 5 gaiter. 

One of her best qualities is how light and soft she is on the rains even though she is willing full. These qualities make her a super fun riding horse that everyone loves that tries her.  But because she is light on the rains and powerful we think she is not for beginners (because beginners need more deaf horses) even though she is very safe to ride and not afraid of anything in the environment (f.ex.  cars, bicycles, running people). 

Sóldís is well trained and knows the basic dressage exercises and it is fun to ride her inside a riding hall or a paddock. 

Sóldís is strongly build even though she is average tall (around 1,39 on shoulders). Her feet are strong and she has muscular back and crop. Her neck is slim but and well placed not very long. The throat is slim and she is very easy to shape. Hoofs are good and proportion is rather right. 

Sóldís has a strong pedigree. Her father, Dynjandi,  is a 1st price stallion in Sweden and very successful competition horse there.  Dynur his father is a Orri son and has honor price for offspring's.  Ásdís his grandmother in father side was a really great competition horse here in Iceland in Tölt and participated in the World Championship for Iceland 2003.  

Her mother side is just as interesting. You can say that she is a pure Hornafjörður blood (the old breeding line from the east that we treasure). Her mother is "almost" a 1st price mare daughter of the good Máni frá Ketilsstöðum that is the son of Ófeigur frá Hvanneyri . Ófeigur is one of the good old stallions in Iceland that all people either hate or love.  Sóldís grandmother in her mother side is one of our best breeding mares in Álfhólar and almost every horse in Álfhólar now days are related too. She has 3 first price offspring's and she is also from the old breeding line from Hornafjörður. Nökkvi from Hólmi (famous old stallion from Hornafjörður) is very strong in her pedigree tree. Also Vaka's grandfather is Hrafn from Kröggólfsstöðum which many people know, he has been placed in Germany and is the foundation in Walter Feldmans breeding. 

Sóldís is very calm and easy to handle. She is the first horse to come walking to you out on the field and just wants to be caught.  

Sóldís is only 5 years old and is still in shaping and has for sure more to offer when she gets older and stronger. We feel that she would suit riders that are looking for very good riding horse that can be used in competition and also of course as breeding mare.
